Finjan Sessions August

In SWANA (South West Asia and North Africa) regions, tea (شاي) and coffee (قهوة) are more than just beverages — they are rituals.

And while every country has its own unique traditions, the essence of these rituals is always the same: connection.

Stories are told, moments are shared, and community is built around every cup — every finjan (فنجان).

 

It will be an afternoon of ceramic painting on pre made cups and community building, with small bites and a soundtrack of Fairuz and Um Kulthum in the background.

Our goal with this event is to foster community and build new, meaningful connections with one another, so we are intentionally limiting the number of attendees to 8 per session.

Location: Studio Shalma, N J Fjords Alle 7 in the basement, 1957 Frederiksberg

Included: Two pre made cups produced at Studio Shalma, painting material, clay to hand build your own cup that will be fired and glazed by the team after the event. Baklava & other bites, tea and coffee (of course), new connections. It is possible to buy additional pre made cups at the event.

Language: Danish or English 
Pick up: our team will finish your pieces, fire them. You can pick up your fired pieces 3-4 weeks after the last session.
Payment and refund: Workshops can be refunded within 24 hours of purchase. After 24 hours, the booking and payment are binding. If a class gets cancelled, you will receive a voucher for a new class.
