5 week workshop - February LEVEL 2

This class is for you who is already acquainted with wheel throwing and who want to start exploring new shapes and larger pieces. You have knowledge about how to prepare your clay for the wheel, center your clay and shape basic forms. This class is for everyone who have been on my level 1 (beginner) class or at a beginner class at another studio.

Duration: 5 weeks

Dates: Wednesday - February 11., February 18., February 25., March 4., March 11.
Time: 17:30 - 21:00 (except the last session, which ends at 20:00) 16,5 hours in total

Location: Studio Shalma, N J Fjords Alle 7 in the basement, 1957 Frederiksberg
Spots available: Only 6 spots available in each class. This ensures you the assistance and support you need to either start or further develop your wheel throwing journey.

Session Breakdown

Session 1: Throwing and building a pedestal bowl
You learn to throw different pieces that we after trimming are going to assemble into a pedestal bowl. The class starts with a demonstration.

Session 2: Trimming and assembling
We trim and assemble the pieces into the final pedestal bowl

Session 3: Free throwing
We decide together as a class which kind of form we practice in the class. E.g. a vase with a narrow neck or other specific forms. 

Session 4: Trimming

Session 5: Glazing
Choose your preferred glaze and learn how to glaze your pieces with guided assistance.

Note: We spend the last 25 minutes of each session cleaning the wheels. Please remember to wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little dirty. I do not recommend long finger nails, it makes it difficult to throw

Additional Information

Included in the Price: All materials and tea. Max. 5 finished ceramic pieces (glazed and fired).
Language: Danish or English 
Pick up: You can pick up your fired pieces 3-4 weeks after the last session.
Payment and refund: Workshops can be refunded within 24 hours of purchase. After 24 hours, the booking and payment are binding. The same binding applies if you miss one or more of the days in the course. If a class gets cancelled, you will receive a voucher for a new class.
