Shipping & Returns

Studio Shalma is based in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen, Denmark, where all orders are carefully packed and shipped from our ceramics studio.

Local Pickup

If you're based in Copenhagen or simply passing through, you're welcome to collect your order directly from the studio, free of charge.

Simply select Local Pickup at checkout.

Please note that the studio does not have regular opening hours and is generally only open during the daytime. To arrange a pickup, please contact us by email studio@shalma.dk in advance so we can find a suitable time.

Shipping & Delivery Times

We aim to carefully pack and dispatch all orders within 2–3 business days. During particularly busy periods, such as holidays, processing times may be slightly longer.

Shipping rates are calculated based on the size and weight of your parcel, as well as the delivery destination. The final shipping cost will be displayed at checkout.

Estimated delivery times after dispatch:

  • Denmark: 1–2 business days
  • International orders: 4–10 business days, depending on the destination

Please note that delivery times are estimates and may vary due to customs processing or delays with shipping carriers.

We hope to expand shipping to more EU countries in the future.

Unfortunately, new EU packaging regulations introduced in August 2026 have made international shipping more complex and costly for small independent businesses like ours. As a result, we are currently unable to offer shipping to all EU countries.

We appreciate your understanding and hope to make Studio Shalma's ceramics available to more destinations in the future.

Shipping to the UK & US

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to ship to the United Kingdom or the United States due to complex customs requirements.

We're sorry to disappoint customers in these countries and sincerely hope to offer shipping to you again in the future.

Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

Shipping rates cover the cost of transporting your order but do not include any customs duties, import taxes or additional handling fees that may apply in your country.

For orders shipped outside the EU, these additional charges may be imposed by local customs authorities and are the responsibility of the customer.

We recommend checking your country's import regulations before placing an order, as Studio Shalma cannot cover or reimburse these additional costs.

Returns

We hope you'll love your Studio Shalma pieces. However, if you change your mind or are not entirely happy with your purchase, you have the right to return your order within 14 days of receiving it.

To arrange a return, please email studio@shalma.dk within 14 days of receiving your order, letting us know that you wish to return your purchase. You're welcome to share your reason, but you're not required to.

Once you have notified us, you have another 14 days to send the items back.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Items should be returned in their original condition. You may inspect your purchase as you would in a physical shop, but any handling beyond what is necessary to examine the item may result in a deduction from your refund if its value has decreased.

Packing Your Return

Ceramics are fragile, so please take extra care when packing your return.

We strongly recommend keeping the original box and protective packaging materials and reusing them if you decide to return your order.

Make sure each piece is individually wrapped and securely cushioned. Nothing should be able to move around or touch another item inside the box.

Please note that return shipping is at the customer's risk. If an item is damaged during return shipping, this may affect the refund.

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will process your refund in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws
